AC Milan vs Atalanta, probable lineups
AC Milan host Atalanta at the San Siro. Romagnoli, Saelemaekers and Calhanoglu are out but new signings will be available.
Tomorrow, at 18.00 CET, AC Milan face Atalanta in the last round of Serie A’s first half of the season. Both clubs aim for a place in Champions League and want to take home the 3 points. AC Milan will fight to confirm themselves as winter champions and keep the distance with Inter while Atalanta want to enter the top four.
Gasperini’s Atalanta have collected only two points in their last matches against Udinese and Genoa. In any case, the Bergamo players, as stated by their coach, are ready to meet Milan. Coach Gasperini shortly before Milan vs Atalanta has provoked the Rossoneri claiming that it was not fair for Atalanta to play on Wednesday and then again on Saturday.
Despite the absences of Romagnoli and Saelemaekers (both suspended) the Rossoneri are in great form. The new signings, Meite, Mandzukic and Tomori will be available for tomorrow’s match. Furthermore Rebic, Krunic and Theo Hernandez have returned to the squad after testing negative for Covid. Hakan Calhanoglu is still out.
Coach Stefano Pioli will then deploy Kalulu at the heart of the defence in the absence of Romagnoli. In midfield, Tonali will start from the first minute, alongside Kessie. Brahim Diaz will take Hakan’s place in support of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kalulu, Kjaer, T. Hernandez; Tonali, Kessiè; Castillejo, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
ATALANTA (3-4-1-2): Gollini; Toloi, Romero, Djimsiti; Hateboer, de Roon, Freuler, Gosens; Pessina; Ilicic, D. Zapata.
